Signed up to run a the LA marathon trained with LLS (I was not a runner). FunRaised almost $9k for the lukemia and lymphoma (my goal was $2500) finished at the race and I loved it. It was an amazing experience and very fulfilling ♥️

I’m gay and was single at the time. I wanted to be a mom, so I did 5 rounds of IUI and eventually IVF. It took 3 and a half years, but I became a mom of boy/girl twins. Would everyone consider it to be “epic?” No. But it took a lot of courage, trust in the universe, and perseverance. It was epic for me.

Dropped out of high school, joined the army, and got my GED. 20 years later, I got my bachelor's degree in business and did ok. 13 years after that, I'm a school teacher helping kids to enjoy school so they don't have to struggle like I did.

I took my great grand parents 80 year old farm and made it a home and put it back as close as I could to the way it was. This year our first foal out of our favorite mare was born in a barn we were told we couldn’t build. I was told we could never make it work or do it and we were laughed at for even trying. Who’s laughing now?
