Salvation can be lost, because whatever one receives, can be lost if not well handled. Salvation is not an event. It is a journey. Journey means we are saved when we receives Christ as our savior. And are still being saved as we allow the word of God to wash us and build us up in Christ to know how to live to keep the Salvation which we have received of God through christ Jesus. The third or last stage of Salvation is that we shall be saved when Christ Comes again the second time which is the last time. Which is why it is written if the time is not shorten even the very elect, which is to say the christian can even lose the faith and therefore lose their salvation. It is also written we should fight and work out our own or personal Salvation in christ with fear and trembling, meaning that we can lose it if we don't watch out becareful of it...
