The issue with this debate is that we end up choosing a side. By doing so, we end up pitting the Bible against itself. The truth is that, the Bible contains promises regarding our security and at the same time, it contains very real warning passages. To chose one over the other would land you in a state of trying to explain a whole aspect of clear scriptures away. I believe we should receive to reconcile both truths. Yes it’s a paradox, but they don’t contradict. These funny thing is that, the posture of once saved always saved is quite a new thing (about 300-400 yrs) in the body.. Just read the history of our faith. So let’s cherish scripture. Let’s not pick one truth over the other. More grace to us..
