Bugonia was class propaganda. It works to convince you that billionaires, despite the harm they might cause, are actually working towards good, and that those who are in retaliation are actually the ill ones. That’s why he’s the bad guy despite being right. He suffered at the hands of beings who believed they are superior until he lost himself mentally. Then the movie doubles down on her superiority. This is consistent even in the imagery. I could write a whole think piece about how this movie is right wing class propaganda.
