why not shim the doorframe and fasten it with bigger screws where the hinges are, then trim it out afterwards?

very good job, only thing i would have done would be putting some glue in there just to make 100% sure that it last a long time. but im sure this would still last a long time presumming that noone slams the door all the time

Doing fine job but the tool is using is a Milwaukee brand. They are pretty good to work with. I see a lot of them a little better than the other Browns
