@maritimeunionaustralia: CARNIVAL IS BREAKING INTERNATIONAL LAW IN AUSTRALIAN WATERS Carnival Crew have had enough. Yesterday, the MUA delivered a petition signed by Carnival Crew sailing on the home-ported Australian ships calling on the Australian government to enforce their right to collective bargaining. Carnival can’t bring its ships into Australian ports without the assistance of hundreds of MUA members. MUA crew deliver their pilots, escort them with our tugs, tie them up at the wharf, load their supplies and fill them with fuel. The Australian Government has an obligation to ensure the basic rights enshrined in the Maritime Labour Convention for Carnival seafarers. We’re giving them a chance to do their job. We hope for Carnival's sake, they do it.
