I felt like I was enabling her. If she calls me, I answer out of fear that she’s not okay. I think about her all the time. We had been friends since kindergarten. We’re 27 now. I miss her.

I only reach out to one friend, she only responds about twice a month but at least she actually responds at all. I have other “friends” but they don’t reach out to me unless I contact them first and even then it’s usually just them sending me reels and memes instead of actually checking in or responding to me. This is why I have mostly given up on making friends as an adult. I try to be a friend who’s always there even for the messy parts of life but it’s always one sided, I’m there for them and they completely ignore me unless they need something.

I feel so bad for people that let politics get in the way of their relationships. I have plenty of friends that are on the other side and on important things we both agree. it depends on how its phrased and who says it the tear. it's part of the friendship

Tbh I need some advice because my best friend lately makes me feel like we’re not even friends anymore? Event planned for a week? Cancelled like two hours before we were supposed to meet up. They kinda lied to me, discovered later they were drinking the night before and cancelled because of that party. This event was kinda important to me and I think they knew but idk. I’m starting to get really sick of always looking for her, looking forward to an event and most of the time being stood up. I know they’re busy and stuff but texts are never answered (in read after what feels like a week without any reaction) and I almost always have to initiate things?
