a footballer gets paid based on how much money the market they work in generates, tickets, tv rights, sponsors, merchandising and etc, a public healthcare doctor gets paid from a budget that has to be divided between hospitals, staff, medication, equipment and a thousand other things, the fact that a doctors job is much more important to society doesnt automatically mean their salary has to be higher, and getting paid less doesnt mean their work is worth less either, if you want to criticize the fact that doctors are underpaid, thats perfectly fair, but the solution isnt demanding that footballers get paid less, its asking why public healthcare doesnt pay its professionals better

You have to think about supply and demand. The footballers who are extremely good are in small supply yet in even higher demand. Whereas doctors are in demand and have limited supply which is why they are paid a good amount in places with no universal healthcare but they aren’t paid more because of the rarity and demand differences between the two professions. I also agree that doctors should be paid more but it’s just how capitalism works
