my dad was a radio rentals engineer, and used to go around "fixing" the TVs for a few pints each Friday, then Monday it was normal service.

going to a christmas party at the local halll my dad worked at the local paper mill all the familes of the workers went ueed to get a present and a selection box it was brilliant

Redifusion, was my parents first set. Programme's didn't start until 5 o'clock but you could watch the Test card longer than actual programs. Something similar to TV adverts of today. 🤣🤣🤣

I worked for Radio Rentals & used to deliver & install the TV’s in people’s homes. Once I had to install a 26” TV in Earls Court. It was a huge sitting room & all sitting arround the edges of the room were Arabs in their Thobes. In the middle of the room stood a shower cubicle, made of glass. It was bizarre. I installed the TV & they loved it. The shower arrangement has puzzled me to this day🤔🤔🤔
