Loved it. Loved at the top of a hill that no traffic could get up or down...us kids (all in primary school at the time) had a permanent sled hill to ourselves.

Nope. It started on the Friday before we were going back to school in January 1982 Really heavy snow that day and we were a week late going back to school after Christmas.

I remember I managed to lock me and my mum out of the house and we actually had alot of snow, unheard of in Southampton.

Yes my friends mum wouldn't drive as snow ploughs were not out, remember being hugely disappointed at him not visiting.

I had my 2nd son Jan 82. got snowed in at the hospital. snowcats used as emergency ambulances. 10 days stuck!
