@otfdoll2: A dog that had been missing for nearly a month was identified during a livestream of Mexico's World Cup celebrations after the national team defeated Czech Republic 3-0. The dog, named Gorda, had disappeared on May 24 from the Lomas de Guadalupe neighborhood in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas. According to reports, Gorda's family had spent weeks searching for her without success. While watching footage of fans celebrating Mexico's victory in the streets, they recognized Gorda being carried by a supporter in the crowd. The livestream quickly spread online, and after seeing the footage, Gorda's owner, Ale García, immediately went to the location with a family member. They found her shortly afterward and brought her home. Gorda was later taken to a veterinarian, where she was found to be underweight but otherwise in good condition. Finding a missing pet through a World Cup celebration broadcast was probably not part of anyone's search plan.
