Kapolsek Setiabudi, AKBP Riyanto, membenarkan adanya informasi tersebut. Ia mengatakan, polisi telah mendatangi lokasi kejadian dan meminta keterangan dari saksi yang merekam peristiwa itu. Meski terkendala identitas korban dan minimnya bukti visual, Polsek Setiabudi tetap melakukan penyelidikan dengan menelusuri identitas pria berjaket yang terekam kamera.
