explanation: the joke is the reading direction, in Japanese comics you read the panels from right first to left (the "American" way is left to right) so, for Americans it looks like the tall mommy took the ball from the kid and put it in the tree (which is bad and explains the expression on the American side) but in the eyes of the japanese, the tall mommy took the ball from the tree to help the child
