who wants a skin for irrelevant characters that are barely holding on to their place in their teams? plus so many other gacha games do alts/SPs all the time, so why cant hsr? fgo, feh, epic seven to name a few.

I love them don’t get me wrong but I know this is like a one road way of thinking, but I think sp’s should stay in the line of deepening a character development like evernight and march and sparkle and sparxie and blade and his new form and even sw999 etc and like I’m fine with SP’s if they get thrown around, but since paths are so important to characters there needs to be a good explanation for it (people say that this is for a peek into a new planet. I forgot what it’s called but like a vacation planet ) but still again I’m fine with them. I will also probably pull them just my thought tho.

I love them and although yes SPs are often supposed to be a representative that a character had a drastic change unlike this but I'm glad they're SPs and not skin because 1. they're gonna be meta relevant and 2. is because they're gonna be more accessible and you can wish them unlike skins.

I love them both! And I think it opened the door to the 'skins' for f2p to have cuz if they were real skins, it would be in a pay wall.

It feels like their doing what P5x did, in p5x they have limited summer characters and honestly if this is gonna be a new seasonal thing I hope they make it so people can get them next year or like maybe idk make official non summer outfits cause honestly I am not a big fan of the summer fits like don’t get me wrong their cool it’s just I’m not a big fan of season themed characters

summer character variants are pretty normal in a lot of gachas. yea they're gonna look goofy in normal fights but it's not that weird that they started making them

If we look strictly at appearances, they are indeed just skins—and I think that’s the mindset we’re all stuck in. "SP" versions don't necessarily have to involve drastic changes like what happened with Dan Heng and March 7th; however, just like them and the other SPs we’ve seen, their gameplay will differ from the originals. None of Dan Heng’s other forms are single-target, nor is March 7th a defensive character in either of her forms. So, it is highly likely that the gameplay for Aventurine and Robin will differ from that of their original forms.

absolutely hate that they made the skin an SP and everyone seems thrilled. i just KNOW their ugly skins were not selling and from now on we will be stuck with them as NOT optional

aventurine is a sustain even if they give him a novaflare he's not gonna be relevant for that long. I'd prefer my fav character having a new form with new animations, new design, new play style and being relevant in the new meta rather than a lazy buff that will keep them relevant for 1 patch AND not to mention that if this was a skin not everybody could get it cuz it's locked behind a pay wall, being an sp means you can get it if you just save your pulls. People are crazy for thinking a novaflare will be better than the sp

for aventurine I think it's lore-wise kinda I think bc he's on vacation and experiencing elation but for robin idk she doesn't seem to be doing any remembrance related thinks so far in the story

I feel that they could have been skins but also buffed, but an sp allows for a diffrent outfit and new mechanics for yhe character without changing the way the og characters works.
