The people almost never speak English. So the only way to get around is with Google Translate. 2. You will need these apps to fix everything: Trip.com, WeChat, Alipay, Didi and Apple Maps. Make sure to install and verify your identity in these apps before entering China. 3. Everything is very SAFE. We never felt more safe in a country. Because of all their camera’s, they can track you with hiking in National Parks. Or when you loose your phone, they can find it back for you. 4. China is very clean! Some of us have the image that China is really dirty, but the streets, rooms and public transport is very clean. 5. Social media works only with VPN. Except for Tiktok, this one doesn’t work with VPN.
