this can happen. since entering perimenopause I found that my periods are more intense not just the bleeding but the headaches, leg aches and cramps. I also feel really sick which before never used to happen, it's draining.

Mine alternate now, 1 heavy one with a lot of pain and symptoms and then 1 lighter one when I forget I'm on it most of the time. And I only get them every 2-3 months.

Getting a coil fitted helped regulate mine when perimenopause caused ‘flooding’ periods. I thought I was dying, but it’s surprisingly common - we don’t talk about it enough

I had to get mirena fitted for this reason,took a while for body to adjust tbh.still bloat but mirena means for the first time in my life at 42, no periods for two weeks out of the month. no longer anaemic
