This was what ended my relationship with my ex, she just lashes out on me and sometimes for the tiniest reasons, I started becoming defensive over time because it was becoming just a pattern and she enjoys the little back and forth, but it was just taking away my peace. Overtime I didn’t even know how to respond to her criticism without being defensive anymore, and every single time we were just always fighting, even when I promise myself to be calm, I still end up being defensive. I just decided to end it because I realized that my default mode with her will always be that my defensive side that will always lead to a fight, I had no peace anymore
