@edotribetv: So / I've been writing about the Benin Bronzes for the last ten years / so this felt like a long time coming but / it was humbling and an absolute honour to be part of a restitution team from Switzerland / Yesterday / I witnessed the signing ceremony of the bilateral agreement between The Nigerian Commission of Museums and Monuments / Museum Rietberg / Ethnographic Museum of Geneva / and Ethnographic Museum of Zurich 28 Ikom Monoliths and Benin Brozes returned home / I started an arts collective last time in was in Benin / and each poet I mentored / 14 of us in total / wrote in response to a Bronze / I'II introduce you to them in the coming days / but for now / enjoy these I watched several ancestors take their first breath of Nigerian air in over 100 years / and I took a breath too :InuaEllams
