I was in London the last 2 weeks and it hit 97f - was crazy to see they were sending citations to folks that had AC units in their houses. Also could get a ticket if your car was just idling to keep it cold. Their government is against them being comfortable it seems 🤣. I couldn’t wait to get home to my AC filled life 😁

In France you have to get permits and approval from your neighbors to install AC because they think it’s too loud and disruptive. It’s genuinely insane.

they literally dont understand that a window unit and central air are two different things... my house doesn't have central air, so we put window units in during the summer

I'm an American in the UK. portable air conditioners are running around $400 and they are currently sold out in my area. but yes, ppl can definitely do the other things. Also, the businesses do not have AC unless they paid for it. I have attempted to take cold showers the last 3 days and the water was still warm.
