@outpump: Antoni Gaudí’s vision for New York could have transformed the city’s skyline forever. In 1908, the architect conceived the Hotel Attraction, a monumental skyscraper planned for Lower Manhattan. Rising more than 300 meters, the project was designed as a vertical city, featuring a hotel alongside theaters, restaurants, and retail spaces. Had it been built, its nine towers and unmistakable organic forms would have stood in striking contrast to Manhattan’s skyline, introducing Gaudí’s signature architectural language to New York.
