I believe there is only one agenda that politicians ultimately follow. Whether you vote or abstain, the outcome seems to follow the same script. Elections give people the impression that they have a meaningful choice, but the real decisions appear to be made elsewhere. In this view, politicians are not the ones truly calling the shots, they are simply carrying out decisions made by more powerful interests behind the scenes.
