@dk.billiards: Let’s talk about leveling… While it may not seem crucial to many, for Dk Billiards, it is one of the most demanding stages of the pool table assembly process. Leveling a table is a complex task that depends on several factors: 👉🏻the level of the floor where the table is situated (and whether it rests on wood or carpet), 👉🏻the table brand, 👉🏻and the flatness and dimensions of the slate slabs. All these factors play a role in the process—which can take up to an hour to ensure the table is perfectly set up for play. There are two stages to leveling: 1- Placing shims after the legs and frame have been assembled. 2- Once the slate slabs are positioned on the frame, inserting shims between the slabs, starting from the side indicating the lowest level. 🎱Pool table shims are used to stabilize tables, compensate for uneven floors, and fine-tune the playing surface. The right shim depends on where you are making adjustments: under the legs or between the frame and the slate. 👉🏻Shims under the legs: rubber, hardwood and plastic. 👉🏻Shims under or between the slates: wood and business cards. #dkbilliards #fyp #billiards #orangecounty #pooltable
