Whenever we show this kind of training, both in Japan and overseas, we receive the same criticism about six hundred million times: “You can only do it because you know what is coming.” However, the obvious point that many people fail to understand is this: If you cannot do it even when you know what is coming, then there is no way you can do it when you do not know. That is why being able to perform it while knowing what is coming is important. Furthermore, even when you know the attack is coming, there is meaning in evading it at the very last possible timing. There is a vast difference between moving away before the attack begins and evading at the absolute limit point where evasion is still possible. The experience gained from those two forms of practice is as different as heaven and earth.
