"آپ سب کو یوں اچھے اسکولوں اور نامور یونیورسٹیوں سے تعلیم حاصل کرتے دیکھ کر جہاں دلی خوشی ہوئی، وہاں دل میں ایک گہرا دکھ بھی جاگ اٹھا۔ میری ایک چھوٹی سی بہن ہے، جس کو تعلیم حاصل کرنے کا موقع نہیں مل سکا۔ سچ تو یہ ہے کہ ہم ایک ایسے علاقے میں رہ رہے ہیں جہاں آج بھی عورت کی تعلیم کو اچھی نظر سے نہیں دیکھا جاتا اور اسی معاشرتی سوچ کی وجہ سے وہ محروم رہ گئی۔ مجھے آج بہت زیادہ افسوس اور ملال ہو رہا ہے کہ کاش میری بہن بھی آپ لوگوں کی طرح خوش قسمت ہوتی، اچھے تعلیمی اداروں میں پڑھتی اور آج ایک پڑھی لکھی لڑکی ہوتی۔ اگر وہ پڑھی لکھی ہوتی تو کم از کم اپنے گھر میں بچوں کو ٹیوشن پڑھا سکتی تھی، خود اپنے بچوں کی بہتر تربیت کر سکتی تھی۔ اللہ پاک آپ سب کو مزید کامیابیاں دے، لیکن میری بہن کے لیے یہ محرومی ہمیشہ میرے دل کا ایک درد رہے گی۔"
