That’s why I always said, I wish they had longer trips than (at my airline) average 3-5 days. Especially as a commuter. Once I start work, I’m in that mindset. I would rather work a 7-10 day trip and then be off for 10 days in a row. Because working a 4 day trip coming home for 2 days or 3 literally gives me time to recover, unpack, laundry, repack and leave again. And coming home you’re reminded of all the chores you have waiting for you, things you can’t do from a layover. So it’s honestly just so much better when I worked for an airline that gave us the option to just have a scheduled 10+ day trip (back to back trips is not the same)

Aircraft engineers get the same perks. 4 days off but then they have 4 days of 12 hour shifts. 2 days 6am-6pm and 2 days 6pm-6am.
