I rocked up to volunteer in French and would go home in tears of frustration every night. The best piece of advice I got while learning which is usually what people warn against while learning languages is looking for the similarities to English. 30% is similar. Watch learn with Alexia every single night. And please download Anki and do your flashcards every single day.

anyone who says they've gone to an intensive French school and didn't cry is a liar. it's a right of passage 😅 just remember everyone else there is in the same boat!! I've lived here a little over four years now, and one of the things that made me cry is something I use in conversation without thinking anymore. it DOES get better. hang in there 🫶
