Oh FFS. Turns out though that I’m not surprised. I’m not in tech, security etc. I’d rate myself as “techy enough to be unofficial IT helpdesk at work” and also “can do enough sensible things myself that IT don’t cry if I need help”. Maybe I’m just cynical but it doesn’t say much for them that my reaction was “of course”

It’s also annoying because it depends on language. My phones are set to different languages and I (and anybody else) can tell based on the randomly generated words that it must be somebody with a link to country X. So unnecessary.
