@flyingspaghettiaudits: Why do Christians always resort to lying about their Bible? The Bible clearly condones lifelong chattel slavery in Leviticus 25:44-46 and elsewhere. Shout out to @LUDA for posting this clip of Pastor Joby Martin of Eleven22 in Jacksonville, Florida
"Paul said..." - but Paul was not one of the 12, and he never met the living Jesus in person. ☝🏼⚠️

The bible never once condemned slavery or owning humans. But it had all the time of the world to condemn with death way more common practices of the time like homosexuality or polytheism

in the same passage of the Scripture, God prohibits Moses from enslaving people of Israel (the chosen people), as they are his brothers. Therefore, you can't enslave your brothers. Jesus later expanded the concept of "people of Israel" to the entire human race, effectively rendering slavery immoral for all people, against all people. This is a great example of God's will never changing through the Scripture, but him using different methods and different ways of communicating with us across the different time periods! ✝️❤️

That is classic Levitical Judaism that became attached to Christianity because early scribes were assigned to make Jesus fulfill prophecies in the Hebrew Bible. This is why we have "The Lost Years of Jesus" the Hebrew Bible has no prophecies about a teenage boy or a man in his twenties. Without prophecies, there is no Jesus. Ultimately, the 18 "lost years of Jesus" is just lazy writing.
