@nic.is.fit: If you're over 40, waking up at 2–4 a.m., dealing with anxiety, feeling wired but exhausted, or you've been told you don't need progesterone because you've had a hysterectomy... this is a conversation you need to hear. Progesterone isn't just about reproduction. It's a hormone that plays a major role in sleep, mood, and how you feel every single day. This is one of the biggest areas of confusion I see in women's health, especially during perimenopause and menopause. #womenover40 #hormonehealth #perimenopause #menopausesupport

I tried HRT and went back to birth control. I didn’t realize how much heavy lifting the ring was doing against my periods. It was miserable. I’ll switch once they’re gone.

I’m 45 I take BC because my cycles are horribly painful. As far as I’m concerned I’ll stay on it till I’m past menopause. My tubes are tied but I do have my uterus

I have an Mirena IUD, because that’s what my prior OBGYN said the solution was. I finally found a dr in February that took me seriously and determined perimenopause was the cause. Started with estrogen patches, slowly increased dosage to 0.05. Hot flashes other symptoms disappeared but anxiety and sensory overload persisted…added 100mg of progesterone at night. It made the anxiety so bad I paced the floor all night and I gained 5lbs from bloating.

As a provider it’s really hard to get women off of their contraceptive if indeed they don’t want to be pregnant, I’ve seen women late 40s early 50s pop up pregnant. It’s rare but it does happen. You’re making a blanket statement which helps no one

Your fav bitch :
I’m 50s and will stay on BC as long as I can because they deliver more hormones than those shitty patches and help me feel normal.
