in the original show Katara is the groups revolutionary. She’s deeply passionate about what she believes in and is usually the first to take action and fight for what she believes is right. That passion sometimes gets them into sticky situations buts also the thing that makes her a hero. in Netflix atla she is just…the girl character?

The original writers of atla were actually working on the live action project but pulled out before season 1 even started filming due to “creative differences”. So, it makes sense that it’s horrible. I honestly think it’s just a cash grab at this point.
