Don't forget that 28% tax floor on gains from the sale of collectibles/commodities, and the importance of an additional endorsement on your homeowners insurance, as most coverage is capped at only $1,000 - $2,000 for collectibles. Coming from someone with a sizeable MTG collection who had to have some interesting conversations with my insurance broker....
