To people saying they settled, you guys do know that especially in highschool relationships- not all of them last and it's normal to fall out of some crushes or fall in love with more than one person. Miwako and Hiro have longer history than Yukari and Hiro so that's why their close but that doesn't mean Hiro still loved her -atleastb not in a romantic way . George appreciated Yukari as a muse and had some affection but he doesn't understand the complexities of relationships even though he appears to have himself together- his a good creative, decent friend but a horrible boyfriend. George gave her independence but he to some degree did objectify her whereas she didnt have to beg or do anything to get Hiro's attention or affection. Long term, she would've been miserable with George unless he CHOSE to work on his romantic relationships but he didn't
