my mom was trying to get me into the special ed program and later into the high school for the learning challenged and delinquents(this was the 90's) but my test scores were too high. then I scored in reading comprehension as a 17 year old when I was 10. they didn't understand till they realized that my teachers were grading my reading comprehension skills by how I read out loud in front of the class.
