Bruh I pay 175-200 a month for my ac in Colorado. That is so cheap. Why are people complaining it is expensive there?

Leave it on . Your AC will use less energy daily maintaining the temperature , as opposed to trying to cool down a hot room every day .

I pay $250-$300 for my power and ac each month… it is absolutely worth it

Keep it on and just turn the temp up a bit and you'll save money. It uses more energy getting the space cooled down again than it does when it's maintaining a constant temperature

Just to give you a heads up it’s cheaper to just leave it running 24/7 than it is to turn it off and on. It takes more power to lower the temp than it does to maintain a temp

Here's an energy tip from a Floridian, in case it's a long heat wave: Keeping it on longer periods will actually conserve your electricity in the long run bc it will maintain the temperature as your insulated rooms hold in the cooler air, instead of working overtime to cool from a high temp. Also black out curtains over all your windows during your direct daylight hours.

unironically if you just leave it on all the time you might spend less money because you'll keep the temp the same rather than have to lower the temp everything you use it

please stop turning it on and off intermittently, it costs so much more. Just pick a temperature and keep it at that

You have to keep your a/c on auto so it can kick on/off. Turning it off completely heats up the house and it has to run to cool down the area again. My bill is never over $175 and I have a 2 bed 2 bath apartment. My air stays on 69°F.

cooling down a VERY hot house cost more than keeping it a little cooler all the time
