@rendezvousgaming: Most people won’t mention they damaged something so that’s why it’s so important to make sure you’re inspect your rental equipment. Some people are pretty tricky at hiding damage #partyrentals #sidehustleforbeginners #businessideas #sidehustle #workfromhome
Hey! I added a rental to my collection and it's been pretty popular here in Utah! You should see if your market would appreciate it. It's a "vintage" rolling cooler. Only $125-$150 and I rent for $20 I've had good experience with it so far!

Hi Emily! I have a question about your outdoor movie packages...I am about to purchase a screen but product reviews are mixed and I'm worried about durability. Do you have any brands you recommend and what issues have come up with that package for you?

So far I have chosen to not rent out anything that would require a lot of cleaning. I hate cleaning and I don’t want to spend my time cleaning for long periods that time.

In order to clean your spots off the carpet and possibly bed make a corn starch paste similar to oobleck and put it in the stain to dry. while drying it will pull the stain out. once completely dry break it back up into a powder and vacuum. works great on oil too

Any stuff that you might say, it’s not a big deal and not charge them for it? Maybe for the red carpet you could add the cleaning fee hidden in the price because carpets are most likely going to get dirty

One thing I’m still struggling with is this. It may also be my fault for not clarifying while talking to the customer either what the expectations are. I do have it in my rental contract but we all know no one actually reads it all. Moving forward I’m going to put a message on the checklist that all items need to be returned clean the same way they were rented. I had a customer bring back yard pong full of dirt and water. Took me 30 mins to clean it all. How much would have you charged for a cleaning fee on that? I figured $15 was fair but they weren’t too happy about it.

how do you handle of a piece is missing? for example a tetris tumble piece or connect four. I know sometimes you can find replacement pieces, but no always. Do you charge then four the whole game or take the loss and keep it for spare parts

Huh! I gently thought it was just part of being rental equipment but it's taking WAY too much time to clean all these sleepover tents! Thanks for giving me more confidence to charge people 😂

My husband does uber because he was laid off and people destroy our car. All the time when taking bags in and out. I wish there is a fee we could charge.

Do people not rent from you again when you charge them? That’s my biggest fear but I had a customer bring something back completely damaged (and lied about it of course).
