Being unemployed is only fun if you have money. Without money, you can't really enjoy the freedom you have.

Get a part time job. You still get to earn money but have a lot more freedom than a full time job gives. I went from working 45 hours a week at a boring corporate job to 24 hours a week at a supermarket. Most people would see that as a big step down but I dont care. The job is easier and the hours allow for a lot more freedom

I had a month off between jobs a few years back and I genuinely miss that month. Spent two weeks actually resting, which was lovely and two weeks doing stuff i wanted. I walked a lot. I read a lot. It was great and I would like that again.

I’ve had 2 periods of unemployment, 6 months each time and I now realise how lucky I was, not only did I watch virtually all of the London Olympics, every game of the 2012 World Cup and 2014 Euros, I got up when I wanted, went to bed when I wanted, I wasn’t lazy. Went to the gym most days.

Time away can give you clarity. we need to work to get money to live the life we want .. but time off gives clarity of the life you actually need and not just want

If you can afford to do it, more power to you, unfortunately I can't, too many commitments, but it's worth it. 😊

Same here after being made redundant! But I fear I’m enjoying the unemployed life a bit too much, I hate the idea of full time work again and no freedom 🥹

Same mate, I was made redundant, spent the last 2 months just living off of redundancy money. It’s back to work next Monday for a new job. Dreading it. 😩 2 months off has made me realise I want to retire NOW at 38 😂

I've been unemployed for about 7 months now. Mainly thing it taught me is: They won't remember the money you made, or the career you had. They'll remember the nights spent together. The little moments you shared. That's what's important in life. Money will come, money will go. But the moments you were there for? Those are eternal

Working a full time job doesn't give time. You wake up and your mind is dedicated on the work day ahead. You come home and you rest from a full day at work. Then you prepare for bed thinking of the next day at work. Then you spend the weekend thinking of Monday and counting hours.
A full time employment is 24/7 dedication to the job, while only being paid for 40 hours per week. Any less dedication, and you'll get fired for "not giving your all".
