I retired three years ago. I fell into this routine naturally. Without the necessity of work obligations I’m just fine with it. I’m not distress by it at all. Bed 2100. Awake 0300. Return to sleep 0500. Awake for breakfast 0900

My Dad, indigenous ex-military turned police, would wake up around 3. He'd get up, get a drink, walk around the house to check the doors and pets, he would sit on his foot stool and watch the news for 15 minutes or read a paper. then go back to bed till 7. like clockwork.
