Presidential historians and scholars generally rank Donald Trump among the worst presidents in U.S. history. While acknowledging him as a uniquely consequential figure who successfully tapped into deep-seated voter grievances, experts cite his disregard for democratic norms, institutional disruptions, and multiple impeachments as historic failures.Historians' assessments fall into the following key categories:Ranking and LegacyPresidential Greatness: In authoritative surveys of presidential scholars—such as the Presidential Greatness Project Expert Survey—Trump consistently ranks near or at the dead bottom of U.S. presidents, often placed alongside leaders like James Buchanan and Andrew Johnson.Lack of Peaceful Power Transfer: Historians frequently cite his refusal to accept his election losses and his actions leading up to the January 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol as unparalleled breaches of American democratic tradition. The "Consequential" Disruptor: Despite low historical marks, most scholars acknowledge he is one of the most consequential figures in modern American politics. He successfully upended institutional norms, redefined the political landscape, and fundamentally reshaped the modern Republican party.

The Devil Wears Prada is one of the best vocal case studies in showing authority by using restraint and subordination by using effort If you’re new here, I’ve been voice acting since I was six years old and this is what I’m hearing in The Devil Wears Prada as a nearly 30 year veteran. So Meryl Streep’s Miranda Priestly maintains an extremely and deliberately low volume with a slow and measured cadence and she has these very strategic almost micro pauses, so she never sounds like she’s rushing through a sentence, because that would indicate nervousness. All of this forces whoever she’s speaking with to come to her. We rarely if ever hear any pitch variation with this character, she’s not denoting up or down, she’s just flat and it’s why she sounds threatening. And while she is breathy and her register is intimate, it doesn’t make her sound weak because of her very pristine flawless diction paired with a lack of vocal fry or uptalk. She sounds controlled and in charge because even her questions are delivered with a declarative tone. Tiu expect characters like this to be bossy with a voice that barks but Meryl Streep surprised everyone by using whispering in contrast to the frantic and loud energy of those around her. She even said in a 2016 Variety interview that she took inspiration from Clint Eastwood's characters,

And this performance choice juxtaposes so well with Anne Hathaway’s Andy Sachs because we hear her voice evolve right along with her. #voiceact #voiceacting #thedevilwearsprada #movie #voice
