Save this for your 2025 hiking list!! 📍Love Lake, Vancouver Isand Love Lake is part of the infamous Della Falls hike in Vancouver Island where only 700 people go every year! We were the only ones at this beautiful lake and for a good reason. You have to either book a private boat or canoe across a huge lake, then walk 33km and camp 2 nights to visit this spot in the middle of bear country! It was all worth it I promise! It was a highlight of 2024 summer for us and one of the most beautiful spots in Canada. 🇨🇦 Stats * Distance: 38 km * Duration: 3 days * Peak: 1287 m * Gain: 1553 m Location: Central Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada Park: Strathcona Provincial Park Duration: Typically hiked in three days, depending on fitness and route plan Difficulty: Rainforest, valley, and subalpine terrain (intermediate backpackers) Hiking Season: June – October. The Della Falls Trail is typically snow-covered from late October/November until at least June, and sometimes July. Permit: None required. Fees: There are no fees associated with the Della Falls Trail area. Reservations: Required for Della Falls Water Taxi. Pets: Pets/domestic animals must be on a leash and under control at all times. Trailhead: BC Parks dock (west end of Great Central Lake). Camping: Wilderness camping is allowed at designated back-country sites. Structures: Cable car, wood bridges, metal bridges Getting There Crossing the lake is the only way to access Della Falls is across Great Central Lake. At 35 km long, it is the second-deepest lake on Vancouver Island. Whether you paddle or ride the water taxi, getting to the trailhead is part of the adventure. We took the taxi and it is $180 round trip and you have to book it in advance. We did this trip in 3 days and we only saw a handful of people and we had the whole lake to ourselves. One of the best hikes this summer!

Tiba-tiba banyak pihak mendadak peduli, membenturkan ucapan tersebut dengan fakta mahalnya harga tahu, tempe, pupuk impor, dan pakan ternak. Mari kita luruskan dengan akal sehat! Pemerintah sangat paham dan tidak pernah menutup mata bahwa kenaikan kurs dollar memukul harga bahan baku. Jerih payah petani dan peternak yang modalnya membengkak adalah masalah nyata yang sedang dicarikan jalan keluarnya, sama sekali bukan untuk diremehkan. Dengan sistem ini, kebutuhan pokok dan sarana pertanian bisa disalurkan langsung dengan harga yang jauh lebih terjangkau. Ibarat badai ekonomi global yang sedang kencang, mungkin saat ini sepatu kita terasa basah terkena genangan airnya. Tapi pemerintah, melalui Koperasi Desa, telah membentangkan payung yang memastikan kepala dan badan rakyat desa tetap aman terlindungi dari hantaman krisis. Jangan biarkan gorengan pesimis dan narasi kebencian mengelabui fakta.
