People that are pointing out how pointless polishing shoes may be are missing the point. They expect 110% because anything else could cost your life. Polishing boots during training instills pride and preparation, as he said his feet are his mode of transport. Unkept boots result in weather and wear which will allow moisture in and when you're in the middle of nowhere and your only way out is by foot, you realise how susceptible your feet are to infection and injury..... then your properly in the sh#t.

crazy he didn't clean his weapon. the SA80 jams a lot so he failed right there I would of PT beasted him and the squad a lesson they won't forget. always clean and maintain your weapon!!!
