And as a new report by Columbia University's Institute of Global Politics reveals: "More than 66,000 of child brides in the United States were not legally old enough to provide consent to sexual relations with their spouses. Outside marriage, this would be considered a sex crime." Child marriage is not a distant problem. It is happening in Alabama, Kentucky, Texas, West Virginia.
