@oddyyse1: That evening was warm—the kind of evening you never want to end. The air had cooled after the heat of the day, the streetlights were just beginning to glow, and the streets were slowly growing quiet. The whole group met up. Ling arrived carrying a paper bag full of sweets. Orm immediately declared that nobody was allowed to talk about work tonight. Bam laughed louder than anyone else. Tim kept interrupting Oom’s stories. Meanwhile, Miu and Lena walked a little behind the others, exchanging occasional glances and barely noticing that everyone else had already wandered far ahead. They walked without any destination. They wandered into little shops, argued over which ice cream flavor was the best, took pictures beneath neon signs, and changed direction several times simply because someone wanted to explore another street. “So this is officially our last walk with Lena.” Orm dramatically pressed the back of her hand to her forehead. “Oh, don’t start.” Lena laughed. “It’s not like I’m moving to another planet.” “Close enough.” Bam winked. “A different city counts.” Miu only smiled. She hardly joined the conversation. More and more often, she caught herself simply listening to Lena’s voice. The same thought kept surfacing. Tell her. And every time, she answered herself. No. Later, the group began to split up. Ling was the first to call a taxi. “Alright, I’m disappearing.” Orm glanced at her watch. “If I don’t leave now, I won’t wake up tomorrow.” Oom and Tim left together, still arguing about some movie. Only Bam, Miu, and Lena remained. Bam looked from one of them to the other. “Well… I should head out too.” She lingered for just a second, as though she wanted to say something to Miu, but instead she only smiled subtly. “Bye.” When she disappeared around the corner, everything suddenly became quiet. “Want me to walk you home?” Miu asked. “Of course.” Lena replied. They walked side by side. Without hurrying. The silence between them wasn’t awkward. Sometimes Lena told some random story. Sometimes Miu answered. Sometimes they simply listened to the city settling into the evening. When they reached Lena’s building, she stopped. “Well…” She smiled. “Thanks for walking me home.” “Anytime.” For a few seconds, neither of them moved. “Then…” “See you.” “See you.” Lena had already turned toward the entrance. Miu stayed where she was. She watched her walk away. Five steps. Six. Seven. Her heart pounded so loudly it felt as though the whole courtyard could hear it. If you stay silent now… you’ll never say it. “Lena!” Lena turned around. Miu almost ran to her. She stopped far too close and spent several seconds trying to catch her breath. Lena looked at her in surprise. “What happened?” Miu gave a nervous laugh. “I… wasn’t planning to do this.” She rubbed the back of her neck. “Honestly.” Lena waited quietly. Miu lowered her eyes. Then looked back up at her. “I like you.” She blurted it out quickly. As though if she paused for even a second, she’d never manage to say it. “I know the timing is awful.” She laughed nervously. “You’re leaving. We’ll probably be far apart.” She took a deep breath. “But I couldn’t keep pretending I don’t feel anything anymore.” Silence. Lena looked at her very carefully. Too carefully. #lena #miu #miunatsha #lalinalena #lenamiu ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

📍 Then she quietly said,
“Thank you.”
Another pause.
“But… I have to go now.”
Miu nodded before she’d even thought about it.
“Of course.”
She smiled.
It wasn’t a very good one.
“Sorry.”
“No.”
Lena shook her head.
“Don’t apologize.”
She turned away and took a few steps toward the building entrance.
Miu was already about to leave.
Well… that’s it.
Just then, Lena stopped.
Without opening the door, she turned back.
“Wait.”
Miu looked up.
“Didn’t Bam tell you anything?”
“About what?”
“That I changed my mind about moving.”
Miu froze.
“What?”
Lena shrugged.
“I made the final decision today.”
She laughed softly.
“Actually, Bam promised she’d tell you.”
Miu stared at her for several long seconds.
“So…”
“I’m staying.”
The air seemed to disappear.
Miu looked at her as though trying to decide whether this was some kind of joke.
Lena opened the building door.
She stepped inside.
Then leaned back out again.
“And one more thing.”
She smiled.
Not broadly.
Just a little.
But it was the smile she only ever gave Miu.
“I like you too.”
Miu completely lost the ability to speak.
“You…”
Lena laughed quietly.
“Now it’s your turn to be nervous.”
