There are multiple layers to it, but one is the banning of ultra fast fashion advertising which would even ban influencers from promoting them! It appears that the definition of “ultra-fast fashion” will essentially come down to two things: how much stuff a company puts on the market, and how bad the repairability is compared to the price. The thing is though, the actual thresholds for what counts as “too many items” or “too unrepairable” aren’t stated and are supposed to be set later by regulators. The framing is broad, but you can understand who it’s really aimed at, especially since EU and EEA-based operators are not yet included in the key measures, and in a joint report lawmakers specifically want it to hit Chinese marketplaces.
