I will never get over the writing and design of the characters of this duology. It is all just fantastic. Godzilla redeeming himself and becoming friends with Akane who had terrible experiences and trauma and The antagonist Godzilla being a clone of Godzilla from 1954 is just amazing. The post credits scene of Tokyo S.O.S made me beg for a third film. Who made the clone? How did they get the dna sample? How did they make Godzilla’s clone stronger than the original? It is all a rabbit hole that is incredibly interesting. If there was a third movie would they have made a second Kiryu along with repairing the original? Who knows.
