@pindaandnina: The thing is, once you left your country and spent some time in another, you will never feel at home. Not in your home country and not anywhere else. Not fully at least. There will always be something that feels better in the othe country, no matter where you are.

my husband moved to Italy 40 years ago, all he had was inside a big blue suitcase.... got married two children, a dog, got a really good job, bought a house... he never regret anything, but it was hard and always a challenge. Both 66 now and happy together ❤️

When I was 19, I packed a bag and went to Spain on my own. Little savings, no friends. I stayed there for 10 years, made a life, and found strength I never knew I had. Did things I regret and things I wish I could do again. Travelled Europe with my soul dog who has passed now 😢 Came back to UK when I was 32. I'm 40 years old and now I'm here as a single mother to a four year old child, living in a tired haze, earning good money after a lot of struggle and anguish... I forget sometimes what I did. I appreciate the reminder 🥹
