I was thinking about this while working my night shift. What if the PlayStation 6 is a handheld. They would need a cartridge based format ending disc format. What if we are all reading it wrong. And that will still suck because the handheld would be over $1000 but I just thought about that since they claim they want players to experience it more than just as a console “meaning handheld”

sonys loss is a new company's gain can see someone making new physical games console as there seen backlash and only ones be doing limiter edition and collectors edition with the figures can see it now boycotting sony since doing this cex will be busy at least not going to playstation

The worst thing about this is is with physical media. You can go to lots of different retailers and find the best price to buy the game but now it’s gonna be all digital PlayStation can charge what they want and you either pay that price or don’t buy the game, there’s no looking around for better deals.

This is how we know PS6 will look like in the future -no disk drive -no backwards compatibility -it’s going to cost $1000 plus Just absolutely nothing. no only that. the PS5 with the disc drive, and original fat PS3 with the PS2 compatibility are going to be extremely valuable. This is where i retired from gaming has a hobby there is no point for me continuing on.

The sad reality of all this is not just that we are slowly losing rights as consumers, but also that even though there's going to be backlash about this nothing will change because fanboys will still buy and defend a digital future where basically you're stripped away from everything and gain nothing with your purchase.

closest thing to a defense I can say is majority of sales are digital.. but that's a f*** you to fans and gamers. once again they are putting profits above any thought of gamers and the health of the industry as a whole. They save.. what? $10-15$ a game with digital? you'll never see this passed on to gamers and if anything game prices will continue just go up.
