😎 :
hey steph, I mean this in the kindest way, and please feel free to delete this if you'd rather not have it on your page.
I've followed you for a long time because I've always admired how much you seem to love and appreciate nature and the animals around you.
I completely respect that you shared having health issues, and this isn't meant to be a militant vegan comment. But I don't understand how someone who already knows why animals are exploited and why veganism matters can go back to eating meat, dairy, and eggs when it's entirely possible to meet nutritional needs on a well-planned vegan diet, even if that sometimes requires supplements.
I saw your instastory (the reason I‘m writing this) of walking with donkeys carrying heavy bags. Those donkeys don't choose to work for us steph. They're bred, trained, and used because humans benefit from their labor. Carrying heavy loads for long periods can cause them pain, exhaustion, joint and back problems, sores from ill-fitting packs, and chronic stress. They don't get a choice. they're expected to work so that humans can enjoy a more comfortable experience
I'm writing this because I support you, and because I know you understand these issues and genuinely care. That's why seeing this feels so contradictory. Please stop participating in the exploitation of animals. They aren't here for our entertainment, our convenience, or our meals. They are individuals who want to live their own lives, just like we do.
It breaks my heart that people get to enjoy the hike while animals are expected to carry everyone's weight. And then the people go home and consume a mother's milk that was never ours, eggs which are a hen's reproductive system, not food made for us and the bodies of animals who never wanted to die.
I know you're capable of doing better, and I truly hope you'll think about it. Thank you for reading this🦋🌳
