I did this and my advice for casual wear is that if you want natural fibers - buy and wash fabric and bring it with you. Otherwise you’ll have to dry clean only your clothes. The natural fiber yardage they have aren’t pre shrunk. My other advice is to bring your favorite dresses and have them remake! So fun

Most tourist that comes by all want the same thing: a suit or a black dress, so the tailors are always excited to create something out of the ordinary! The only thing I was surprised to learn is that they rarely work with real denim and they don’t have a pleat machine. It makes sense, but I didn’t know until they told me.

Honest and genuine question: How do you feel about the hours these seamstresses had to work to complete these so fast? Did it seem reasonable and priced fairly so they weren’t overworked and underpaid? I’ve never done this so asking since you have personal experience.
