In one day, I’ve filled shifts, fixed the dishmachine, making time to listen to a team member going through problems at home, found a team member hiding from work and convincing them to get back to it, located items in the walk-in that “we don’t have” put out a literal fire and rebooted the exhaust system, called to fix the broken elevator, answered 50-11 emails, put in food orders, organized the dry storeroom, helped get ready for lunch service, answered 78 questions, revised the p&l, adjusted payroll, resolved a guest matter, made item identifiers, spilled coffee on my pants, did first aid on my chefs finger, completed an accident report, fixed the soda dispenser, and forgot to eat
