Club volleyball is 5k-7k+ a year and your child isn’t even guaranteed to play AND you have to pay for tickets for all the games AND pay for travel and hotels. It’s ridiculous. Oh and if ur kid gets injured….oh well no refunds

$3600 for my 11 year old to play competitive soccer. That’s just club dues. We still have to pay for private lessons, uniforms, and travel. It’s literally the not way to get her a quality coach and team. Our club is also a for profit organization but it’s the best club in our area

I would love to put all 3 in sports. It would be nearly 450$ just to sign up. Not including anything else I need to get outside what’s included. They all want to play something but I can’t afford it. It’s just me

There is a proposed $200 million mega youth sports complex about a mile from my house & I’ve learned a lot about the $40 billion youth sports industry since learning about it. Youth sports is no longer about kids. It’s about maximizing profits.

For my son to play spring, summer, and fall baseball it’ll cost me $500. Obviously we buy him cleats and stuff but that’s just not expensive. And I wouldn’t participate in any league that sucked my pockets dry

I worked in print shops and the amount of money in kids sports now is ridiculous. Like I remember whenever you could join Little League teams for free and all you had to do is pay like five dollars for a shirt maybe

My kids high school is so competitive to get on any of the sports teams. You have to be in a club sport for years to get good enough to make the teams. We moved into this area and realized it too late for them to even have a chance to get on a high school team
