@apmaynes: While everybody else was perfecting silk presses, bumps and curls, box braids, and bangin’ bobs… I was obsessed with solving problems. The biggest problem I wanted to solve was the trim. Not just cutting hair shorter—but creating a trimming method that helps people maintain healthy hair, preserve length, and care for the entire hair ecosystem instead of just the ends. This isn’t just another haircut. It’s a different way of looking at hair health. I’m teaching clients how to understand their own hair so they can maintain it at home, care for their children’s hair with confidence, and stop relying on guesswork. And I’m teaching professionals how to perform this trim on every hair type—dry, wet, straight, curly, coily, or somewhere in between. I’ll share the mistakes I made, the lessons I learned, and the techniques that took years to develop, so you don’t have to figure it all out the hard way. The goal isn’t to keep secrets. The goal is to raise the standard of hair care. Because when we stop chasing styles and start solving problems, healthy, beautiful hair becomes accessible to everyone.
